We started Mickey’s Real Wood to help protect Myanmar’s forests for the next generation. Big goals are built from small habits, so here are the everyday practices that help us get there.
We reuse before we cut
We sustainably source our raw materials and repurpose old furniture and reclaimed wood. That reduces the need to harvest new wood — and keeps good materials out of the bin.
We build things to last
Our pieces are built in high quality, which minimises waste and resource consumption. Furniture that lasts is furniture that doesn’t need replacing.
Eco-friendly finishes and packaging
All our wood is eco-friendly, and we offer eco-friendly finishes on request. Even our packaging is kind to the planet. Within Yangon, we deliver with our own trucks and skilled staff, so every piece arrives safely and doesn’t need replacing after a rough journey.

We buy back
Our buy-back option lets you sell upcycled, restored and redesigned furniture back to us for half the original price (customised products are excluded). That way, good pieces stay in use instead of being thrown away.
We rent, too
Need a statement piece for an event, a photoshoot or just a couple of days? Renting lets you enjoy beautiful furniture without buying anything new.
We let art extend a piece’s life
A plain cabinet is easy to replace. A cabinet hand-painted with Myanmar hornbills is something you keep, and maybe pass on. Adding art and colour is one of the most sustainable things we do, because it turns furniture into a family heirloom.
We restore what you already own
Think of us as your furniture’s spa. Restoring a family heirloom keeps it in the family — and out of the landfill.
Every piece you choose from us means less waste and less demand for newly harvested wood.
Furnish your space, your way.
